Job Description


We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to join our close-knit pharmacy team in Trumann, Arkansas. Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations, and ensuring that services meet the highest standards.
  • Provide individualized medication counseling to patients, including proper medication usage, side effects, and potential interactions. 
  • Accurately dispense prescriptions and ensure proper labeling and packaging.
  • Manage the pharmacy’s inventory, including ordering, stocking, and ensuring medication is up-to-date. Monitor for shortages or expired medications and manage returns as needed.
  • Mentor and supervise pharmacy technicians and other staff. Provide ongoing education to ensure that all pharmacy staff adhere to current pharmacy standards and regulations.
  • Participate in community outreach efforts, health screenings, and wellness initiatives to enhance public health and educate the community about medication safety and health management.
  • Ensure that the pharmacy operates in compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations, including those concerning controlled substances, HIPAA, and pharmacy laws.

Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
  • Active Arkansas pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist, with experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for helping people.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
