Job Description


One of ASG Pharmacy's major clients in the Syracuse area is currently seeking a Pharmacy Technician in their Long Term Care facility. This is a full time, direct hire position in a closed-door facility.

If you are new to the pharmacy field and looking to gain experience, this position is for you! No license requirement!

Job Title/ Type of Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician / Long Term Care Facility, Closed door pharmacy with specialty areas (Narc Room, Robotics, IV)

Job Duties -
  • Prepares and packages medications specifically for patients residing in long-term care facilities
  • Ensure accurate dispensing under the supervision of a pharmacist
  • Maintain detailed medication records, manage inventory, and communicate with healthcare providers within the facility to optimize patient care
  • Primary focus is on the safe and timely delivery of medications to residents with complex medical needs

Schedule - 2nd shift: Monday - Friday 2:30pm -11:00pm, plus 1 weekend per month (Saturday and Sunday day shift)
Training period for the first 1-2 weeks will be day shift M-F

Pay - $18-20/hr (plus a $3 shift differential while working 2nd shift)

Licensing required - Pharmacy technician license is preferred but not required!

Experience needed - Pharmacy technician experience preferred, but not required!
